Committee Meeting 4/30/26
Greetings!!
A few of us, Theresa (myself), Carol, and Monica have joined forces and formed a Social Committee, and we want you to get involved. We’re just in the early stages of this adventure so join us and help create some really cool events.
Saturday May 16th there will be a “Senior” social morning gathering in the Comstock Park clubhouse. We will have an Early Bird Coffee Klatch at 7 am for coffee and perhaps a gentle walk around the park. Once the pool opens on Memorial Day weekend, we will include an early pool time gathering.
Our objective is to enjoy ourselves, and plan social events! Some of the ideas that have been mentioned are a Labor Day potluck pool party, and if that is successful, we’ll plan a Thanksgiving or Christmas event. Eventually we hope to start a Bridge Club, possibly Fridays at 2 PM. This will be for people who are at an intermediate or higher level of skill, to start. Other group games will be considered as interest allows. There has been talk of an Arts & Craft group and perhaps a writing group.
All of this depends on community participation. That means YOU!
We will not be discussing politics or religion, as these topics can cause unpleasantness, due to different viewpoints. And that distracts us from enjoying ourselves so, let’s keep things light and happy.
Also, smokers are welcome, however, please stay within the designated smoking areas. We want to be respectful of some of us who suffer from asthma/cancer/COPD etc.
The Coffee Klatch and the 10 am to 11 am pool times are for our senior members, which I believe are ages 50-55 and older. The Senior Pool Time is a park established time for gentle exercise and social connecting without little children having fun in the pool. Younger homeowners are not excluded from this Social Committee; we want everyone’s input.

Is anyone interested in participating in a Neighborhood Crime watch? We’d all like to live in Comstock Park, not Crimestock Park. Because our park is so large it will take several captains/leaders to get us started. Please see Theresa or Monica if you can help with this.
